Advantage Chair Accepts New Position

David A. Kidd, Oglethorpe County timber farmer and landscape designer and Board Chair for Advantage Behavioral Health Systems, was elected President of the Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB) in May.  The mission of the GACSB is to promote the exchange of information, represent members on legislative matters and advocate for the highest quality of life for consumers of mental health, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases services.  Its membership of 27 Community Service Boards delivers publicly-funded safety-net behavioral health services to over 175,000 Georgians each year.

Mr. Kidd is Chairman of the Athens-based Advantage Community Service Board.  He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and resides in Crawford with his wife Jane V. Kidd.  Mr. Kidd has over 30 years of volunteer experience with a number of mental health and addictive disease service agencies.
